Minister for Information and Broadcasting Mrs Ambika Soni said the biennial Mumbai International Film Festival for documentaries, short and animation films (MIFF) will henceforth be an annual event.<br/> <br/>Speaking at the inauguration of the 11th edition of the Film Festival in Mumbai she said holding the festival every year would help to further popularise the documentary short and animation film sector.<br/><br/>Mrs Soni said even though film production is privately Driven, the government always acts as a facilitator or Catalyst. She also informed that the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII,) Pune will be converted into a Global Film Training center. <br/><br/>She said the Film Museum for Moving Images will be set up before 2013 to commemorate 100 years of Indian Cinema. <br/><br/>The Minister said all the initiatives are put in place before the centenary celebrations of Indian cinema begin in 2013.<br/><br/>The festival kick started with Naresh Bedi's Documentary "On a Tiger Trail" and Shih-Ting Hung's "Viola: The Traveling Rooms of a Little Giant".
