Mumbai Indians stormed into the final of IPL beating Royal Challengers Bangalore by 35 runs in Mumbai. Batting first , Mumbai lost in-form skipper Tendulkar and other opener Shikhar Dhawan cheaply. But they recovered splendidly as Saurabh Tiwary struck a breezy unbeaten 31-ball 52 while Kieron Pollard used his long handle to guide Mumbai Indians to a challenging 184 for five. Mumbai scored 103 runs in the last 10 overs. For Royal Challengers, Dale Steyn took two wickets. Anil Kumble and Kevin Pietersen got a wicket each.Chasing a victory target of 185 runs, Royal Challengers, Bangalore could score 149 runs for the loss of nine wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Mumbai Indians captain Sachin Tendulkar, suffered an injury on his right hand during the match. However, Tendulkar said that he is hoping to play in the final of the IPL on 25th April.The second semifinal between Deccan Chargers and Chennai Super Kings will be played today. The best piece of news for the Super Kings is the return to form of skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni.While Andrew Symonds did the early good work with the bat for Chargers and has tallied 402 runs, Rohit Sharma and T Suman have chipped in brilliantly in the later stages of the league phase.In bowling, the Chargers look to hold the edge Australian pacer Doug Bollinger giving good breaks.On the other hand, the Chennai team is struggling to put an effective bowling attack. Both teams would be looking forward to one or two special innings or bowling spells to clinch the match and book a berth in the final.
