Mumbai Indians enter IPL final beating RCB by 35 runs

Mumbai Indians stormed into the Indian Premier League final beating Royal Challengers Bangalore by 35 runs in Mumbai. Batting first, Mumbai lost in-form skipper Tendulkar (9) and other opener Shikhar Dhawan (12) cheaply. But they recovered splendidly as Saurabh Tiwary struck a breezy unbeaten 31-ball 52 while Kieron Pollard used his long handle to guide Mumbai Indians to a challenging 184 for five. Mumbai scored 103 runs from the last 10 overs after they were 81 for four at the halfway mark. For Royal Challengers, Dale Steyn took two wickets but was expensive, conceding 43 runs from his four overs. Anil Kumble and Kevin Pietersen got a wicket each giving away 30 and 20 runs respectively. Chasing a victory target of 185 runs, Royal Challengers, Bangalore could score 149 runs with the loss of nine wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Anil Kumble attributed his side's 35-run defeat to Mumbai Indians in IPL semifinal to the runs galore they conceded in the last five overs.Mumbai Indians captain Sachin Tendulkar, suffered an injury on his right hand during the match. However Tendulkar said that is hoping to play in the summit clash of the IPL on 25th April.
