Mumbai was hit by three powerful explosions on Wednesday evening. The first blast occurred in the ‘Opera House’ area, a second one occurred at a bus stop near Dadar railway station while the third blast went off in the busy business area of Zaveri Bazaar. The Mumbai Police and the fire brigade have rushed to the site of explosions. Security has been beefed up across Mumbai. Maharashtra’s Public Works Department Minister, Mr. Chhagan Bhujbal said that looking at the intensity of the explosions, it appears to be a bomb blast. He has appealed to the people not to panic and stay calm.
