<span style="color: #222222;">A Mumbai sessions court has rejected the bail plea of a structural auditor and two civic corporation engineers arrested in connection with the recent collapse of a foot-over bridge near Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus. Seven people were killed in last month's incident.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Neeraj Kumar Desai is the structural engineer whose firm had carried out the audit of the bridge and declared it safe despite finding some corrosion. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He was arrested on the charges of negligence along with two Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation engineers.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">During the court hearing yesterday, public prosecutor Mangesh Arote submitted that prima facie a case is made out against the accused. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The prosecutor said, if released on bail, the accused might tamper with evidence because they have relations with BMC officials and the investigation into the matter was still underway.</span><br />'' &nbsp;

Mumbai FOB collapse: Bail plea of auditor, engineers rejected
