Mumbai falls under Level-3 of Maharashtra govt's unlocking plan: BMC

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) today issued a formal order and said that Mumbai falls under 'Level-3' of Maharashtra Government's unlocking plan as it has 5.56 per cent positivity rate and 32.51 per cent oxygen-bed occupancy. This comes after the Maharashtra Government late last night announced a five-level plan to relax the Corona virus-induced restrictions in the state, based on the weekly positivity rate and the occupancy of oxygen beds.<br />''<br />''As per the guidelines issued under 'Break the Chain' order by BMC, local train services, which are the lifeline of Mumbai city, will not be available to everyone for now. Only medical and essential services personnel are permitted to travel by local train. Buses in Mumbai will be allowed to run at full capacity, but passengers will not be permitted to travel standing up in order to avoid overcrowding.  BMC said that restaurants, salons, spas, wellness centres will open in the city from Monday, with 50 per cent working capacity. No air conditioning will be used in salons, spas and gyms. Shops, establishments dealing with essential items will be open till 4 p.m. on all days and shops with non-essential items will be open till 4 p.m. on weekdays. Malls, theatres (multiplex as well as single screen) will be closed in the city, under Level-3 rules. Restaurants will be open in 50 per cent capacity for dining till 4 p.m. only on weekdays. Afterwards, only parcel and take away/home deliveries will be allowed. Public places, open grounds for walking and cycling will be open from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. every day.<br />''<span style="color: #222222;"><br />'' Private offices will all be allowed to open till 4 p.m. on working days, except the exemption category. Office attendance (including government offices) will be kept at 50 per cent. Fifty people will be allowed to gather for marriages, and 20 for funerals. Other gatherings related to social, cultural and entertainment will be held at 50 per cent capacity and till 4 p.m. on weekdays. Meetings, elections, gathering of local bodies, cooperative bodies will also be held at 50 per cent capacity. <br />''<br />''Agricultural activities will be held till 4 p m  on all days. Sports activities will be allowed from 5am to 9am or 6pm to 9pm. However, only outdoor activity will be allowed. Film shooting is allowed in a bubble and no movement will be allowed outside post 5 p.m. E-commerce, items as well as services, will be carried out in a regular capacity. Inter-district travel for passengers either by private means will be held in a regular capacity, except if moving to or passing through with any stoppage in level-5, wherein passenger E-pass is a must.</span><br />
