Mumbai is experiencing incessant torrential rain since today morning affecting rail and road traffic. Local trains on the Western, Central and Harbour lines are running 10 to 25 minutes late this evening. According to MET department Mumbai City recorded 64.4 mm while its west suburbs recorded 93.2 mm and east suburbs received 113.2mm rainfall since morning.Several low-lying areas in the city and suburbs were either waterlogged or flooded, affecting traffic on major roads.Water logging was reported from parts of Borivli, Kandivli, Jogeshwari, Andheri, Santacruz, Bhandup, Sion, Byculla and some areas in Dadar, Worli, Goregaon and Kurla experienced flooding.The weather bureau has forecast heavy to very heavy rains over Mumbai and other parts of Maharshtra for the next two days.
