Mumbai and parts of its suburbs are experiencing continuous rainfall since this morning. According to the Meteorological department, till 5.30 this morning, the Colaba station of South Mumbai recorded 178.7 mm of rainfall while the suburban Santacruz station recorded 88.5 mm of rainfall. According to the disaster management control room of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), there are no major reports of water logging as of now. However, the continuous downpour has slowed down the suburban rail services and road traffic in the city. Meanwhile the weather bureau has forecast spells of rain or thundershowers accompanied by gusty winds in parts of city and suburbs with possibility of heavy rain in some areas for the next 24 hours. <br/>
