Incessant rains for the second day in row wrecked havoc in Thane district of Mumai, cutting off several low lying areas and leaving thousands of people marooned.According to district authorities, parts of many areas like Bhiwandi, Kopri, Naupada, Bhayander, Dahanu and Kalyan were completely inundated owing to continuous downpour during the last 48 hours. Also, non-stop rains have wrecked roads leading to heavy disruption in the road traffic on the Bombay-Ahmedabad road. According to MET department Thane recorded 65 mm of rainfall since 8.30am in the morning.Mumbai continued to experience incessant rainfall through the day, though the rainfall was not as heavy as yesterday.
