With the government announcing relaxations in lockdown, movement of people from suburbs to Mumbai has surged in the past couple of days and so has the risk of people contracting the disease.<br />'' <br />'' With Mumbai Metropolitan Region emerging as the epicentre of coronavirus infection in India, efforts are continuing at various levels to contain the disease.<br />'' <br />'' AIR correspondent reports, in order to avoid spurt in COVID patients, Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation has announced that it will not allow movement of residents to Mumbai.<br />'' <br />'' In a video message, KDMC chief Vijay Suryavanshi said almost one third of the 224 COVID positive patients under its jurisdiction are people working with various establishments and essential services like hospitals, police department, banks etc in Mumbai.<br />'' <br />'' Acknowledging importance of the service provided by these people, Mr. Suryavanshi said they have requested various establishments to make necessary arrangements for their staff to stay close to their workplace post 8th of this month.<br />'' <br />'' The twin cities of Kalyan-Dombivali lie about 45 kilometres from Mumbai. Meanwhile, Maharashtra Government has signed a memorandum of understanding with Wipro Limited to set up a 450-bed COVID-19 hospital in its Hinjewadi campus in Pune.<br />'' <br />'' The hospital, equipped to treat moderate cases is expected to be ready by end of this month.<br />'' <br />'' In some positive news, Sangli based Walchand College of Engineering has developed a robot that can help doctors and nurses interact with COVID-19 patients via video conferencing, without setting a foot inside isolation wards.<br />'' <br />'' On the other hand, Mumbai based NGO Vision Smart India has started music therapy for coronavirus patients so that they do not feel depressed or alone.<br />''
