The Maharashtra government today announced suspension of a senior IPS officer Ashok Deshbhratar, who allegedly secretly filmed the interrogation of Pune stud farm owner Hasan Ali khan, facing money laundering charges. The Maharashtra Home Minister RR Patil today, confirmed that top cop Ashok Deshbhratar has been suspended in connection with the Hasan Ali probe. The senior IPS officer allegedly carried out a “sting operation” on Hasan Ali Khan. The alleged suspension also created a ruckus in the State Assembly. Deshbhratar, who was currently posted as DCP railways, is under the scanner for recording the interrogation of Hasan Ali on spy cam.
