A session court in Mumbai on Monday awarded 10 years of rigorous imprisonment to two people convicted for planting explosives in Maharashtra's Thane and Vashi in 2008.The convicts, Ramesh Gadkari and Vikram Bhave were found guilty under various Sections of the IPC including voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means, destruction of evidence and causing damages to property and various sections of the Explosives Act, Explosive Substances Act and Destruction to Property Act and were convicted on Monday.They were, however, acquitted of terror charges. Four other accused – Mangesh Nikam, Santosh Angre, homeopath Dr Hemant Chalke and Hari Bhau Divekar were acquitted of all charges.On June 4, 2008, a blast took place in the parking lot of Gadkari Rangayatan theatre in Thane, injuring seven people, while on May 31, 2008, a blast took place at Vishnu Bhave Auditorium in Vashi in Navi Mumbai. No one was hurt in the Vashi blast.
