<span style="color: #222222;">In Maharashtra, as Mumbai is once again clocking the 2,000-mark of COVID-19 caseload since the past few days, the city civic body has added one more ICU facility to strengthen its already existing health system. The facility will cater to seriously-ill COVID-19 patients.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">On par with a super-speciality hospital, the 224-bedded ICU, HDU COVID hospital has been set up at the Nesco Center premises in suburban Goregaon. The government has promised that this centre will provide good facilities similar to any super specialty hospital. The hospital is equipped with facilities such as liquid medical oxygen, a variety of ventilators and a multi-para monitor to each bed. All beds are connected to the Central Surveillance System.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Meanwhile, there continues to be a relentless increase in the number of COVID-19 patients in Pune and Ahmednagar districts. The positive takeaway in the midst of the spiraling crisis, however, is that 206 villages out of the 341 villages in Aurangabad district have become free of COVID-19. The success of this is attributed to the sincere efforts of administration wherein they monitored the containment zones and conducted constant checks on elderly villagers helping in controlling the spread of infection.</span><br />
