Six bogies of a Mumbai-bound express train derailed at Kasara Ghat in the suburbs in the wee hours today. The Darbhanga-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Express jumped off tracks at around 1 am, but nobody was hurt in the mishap. The train, with all the passengers, reached Mumbai early this morning. According to central railway sources, the derailment of the train however affected traffic on the busy route, with four trains including Manmad-Mumbai Panchavati Express, Bhusawal-Mumbai Passenger, Manmad-Pune and Tapovan Express being cancelled and some others being diverted from Manmad via Pune-Daund route.Rail traffic on the Up route between Kasara and Igatpuri stations has slowed down. The sources said that the derailment may have been caused by technical fault.
