Anant Chaturdashi, the day marking the end of ten day Ganeshotsav is being celebrated in Mumbai today. AIR correspondent reports that tens of thousands of Ganesh idols will be immersed at 88 designated points across Mumbai’s various beaches today.
In Andhra Pradesh, Ganesh immersion will take place in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad amdist tight security. AIR correspondent reports that nearly 40,000 idols will be immersed in Hussain Sagar lake and over 10 lakh people are expected to witness the final procession which is set to begin from Keshavgiri in the old city of Hyderabad.
