<span style="color: #222222;">Mumbai today achieved the landmark number of administering 1.5 crore doses of COVID-19 vaccine to its citizens. In a statement, the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai informed that this includes vaccination held at all government and private centers.<br />''<br />''The vaccination drive is being implemented under the able supervision of Municipal Commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal and Additional Commissioner Suresh Kakani. The statement added that drive-in vaccinations were introduced for senior citizens from 4th May so that they don't have to wait in long queues, besides holding special drives for pregnant women, students going abroad for further education, laborers, members of LGBT and tribal communities. More recently home vaccinations for citizens, who were unable to visit vaccination centers due to medical reasons, was also started to ensure maximum vaccination.<br />''<br />''Mumbai has an eligible population of close to 92.36 lakh for vaccination, out of which 99 percent of citizens have already received at least one dose of the vaccine.
