<span style="color: #222222;">The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has informed that Mumbai has achieved 100 per cent target of the first dose of COVID vaccination to its citizens. According to BMC, in the morning session today, the target of giving the first dose to 92 lakh 36 thousand 500 citizens under the COVID-19 virus vaccination campaign in Mumbai metropolis was achieved. This included performances at all government, municipal and private vaccination centres in Mumbai.</span><br />''<br />''The BMC said that based on the census data and the number of eligible citizens, the government had set a target for all local bodies in respect of people to be vaccinated in their respective areas. Accordingly, in the area of Greater Mumbai Municipal Corporation, about 92 lakh 36 thousand 500 eligible citizens were to be vaccinated. Out of these, 92 lakh 39 thousand 902 citizens took their first dose till 12 noon today, according to the national vaccination website CoWIN. With this, the objective of the first level has been achieved 100 per cent. <br />''<br />''The civic body said that it has been reported that around 59 lakh 83 thousand 452 Mumbaikars had taken the second dose till 12 noon today. Mr. Chahal said that the Administration is continuously following up and creating awareness among all the concerned eligible citizens to complete their vaccination by taking the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine as well. </span><br />
