Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Venkaiah Naidu has said that India is all set to have a bright spot in global economy due to the GST and remonetization. Addressing the Platinum Jubilee celebrations of KCP Limited in Chennai, he said multilateral global economic fora have projected India as the favourable business destination. He said that able leadership and stable government augur well for the economic growth of this country that has surpassed that of China. <br/><br/>The fiscal, current account and tax deficit have given way for excellent growth and lowest inflation. He said, creating wealth is important for its distribution and assured industries that red-tapism will continue to be dismantled and the red carpet rolled out for industrial growth. <br/><br/>Touching upon demonetization, he said, the interest of honest tax payers will be secured. It will ensure transparency in financial transaction. Other enabled payment through mobile application will be possible for even those without smart phone by putting his or her thump impression. <br/><br/>Later addressing the press, Mr. Naidu said, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi could not unite the opposition against the government as the Modi administration is waging a war against black money and corruption. <br/><br/>The Opposition parties are bitter rival at the regional level and bringing them together nationally is impractical.<br/><br/>Asked the former Chief Secretary of Tamil Nadu, Rama Mohan Rao who charged the IT raid against him as unconstitutional to prove his innocence before the authorities rather than politicizing the action.
