Multi-State Co-operative Society (Amendment) Bill will come up for consideration in Parliament on Wednesday.
Top government sources told AIR that amendment Bill aims to strengthen the position of co-operative societies.
The proposed Bill suggests that Centre will not be able to dissolve the cooperative societies in middle of their term.
It also places the provision of a fresh election with in six months in case of societies unavoidable dissolution.
The Bill also proposes a fixed five year term for better functioning of these societies.
The sources also informed that government is also bringing an education societies regulation Bill which will strengthen the existing anti-corruption mechanism.
