In Kerala, even as relay hunger strike and Satyagraha are continuing in Idukki demanding construction of a new dam in Mullapperiyar, an expert team from IIT Roorkee, will be reaching Thekkady tomorrow for preliminary study related to dam break analysis.The state Cabinet meeting held in Thiruvananthapuram today, reviewed the overall developments related to the recent visit of empowered Committee to Mullapperiyar dam. As requested by state government experts from IIT, Roorkie will be starting an initial survey from Mullapperiyar to Idukki dam to assess dam break analysis. At the same time, the Centre has decided to postpone sending a team of disaster management team to the dam site.
