In Kerala, even as mass movement and satyagraha for ensuring safety of 116 year old mullaperiyar dam in Idukki is gaining momentum, the situation along Kerala-Tamil Nadu border continues to be tense. Kerala Police has further intensified security at Kumali as hundreds of people from Tamil Nadu marched in violating prohibitory orders yesterday. Opposition leader V S Achuthanandan has expressed willingness to join the Chief Minister Oommen Chandy to meet the Prime Minister in Delhi to solve the issue. An all party delegation from the state will be visiting Delhi within three days. Meanwhile, another low intensity tremor in Idukki yesterday has further intensified the concern of the people. At the age of 92 former minister and J S S party leader K R Gauri Amma has joined the satyagraha in Idukki.
