Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav today strongly pitched for Third Front saying neither the BJP nor Congress will be able to secure majority in the Lok Sabha elections. He said Third Front will emerge victorious.
Addressing an election rally at Bulandshahr in Uttar Pradesh, he charged Congress and the BJP with not being able to lead the country to the path of development due to double standards and lack of will power. He said farmers and minority community have been ignored by successive governments in the country so far. He said SP will give priority to these groups, if any government supported by it comes to power.
Maulayam Singh Yadav also admitted that there was administrative lapse in controlling Muzaffarnagar group clashes saying he accepts the Supreme Court's observation on it. He, however, claimed that the state government controlled violence within two-days. He said those responsible for it will not go unpunished. Yadav claimed that unlike other group clashes, all the required assistance including compensation to victims was provided by the state.
