Samajwadi Party President Mulayam Singh Yadav has distanced himself from Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Kalyan Singh saying that Mr Singh was never part of the SP. <br/> <br/>Talking to mediapersons in Lucknow on Saturday, Mulayam said the former BJP leader will never be admitted in the Samajwadi Party. <br/> <br/>Replying to a question whether his party has faced any political loss due to friendship with Kalyan Singh, Mr. Yadav said that his party did not lose due to Mr. Singh, but the friendship with the Congress has damaged his party. <br/> <br/>AIR Lucknow correspondent reports that the Samajwadi Party has begun damage control exercise after post by polls results recently held in the state and it has lost even in its strong holds. The friendship with Kalyan is considered among the reasons that damaged party's Muslim vote bank.<br/>
