Mukul Sangma to be sworn in as Meghalaya CM today

Congress leader Dr Mukul Sangma will be sworn in as the new Chief Minister of Meghalaya in a short while from now. He will replace his senior Dr D D Lapang who lost support of the Congress legislature Party and submitted his resignation on Monday. <br/> <br/>Dr Sangma was formally elected as the new leader of the 28-member Congress Legislature Party (CLP) in presence of the two AICC observers — Oscar Fernandes and Luizinho Faleiro last night. <br/> <br/>Dr Mukul Sangma, after his election as the CLP leader, said there has only been a change in the CLP leadership and that the Congress-led Meghalaya United Alliance (MUA) would continue. <br/> <br/>AIR correspondent reports, sources say the new Cabinet may include four new faces but Dr Sangma said he has not finalised about his cabinet he would take it to party high command. <br/> <br/>Speculations are running high as who is going to get what in the Sangma led Ministry. Anti clock countdown also began among members who would be shown the door from the new government. <br/> <br/>Dr Mukul Sangma is becoming 20th chief minister of state. People and his supporters have many expectations from him and now it is the turn of Dr Sangama to be proved himself the best among his successors and predecessors.<br/><br/>
