Muharram observed in various parts of country

<span style="color: #222222;">The Ashoora-e-Muharram was observed with due reverence and solemnity in various parts of the country today.<br />'' <br />'' The day marks the martyrdom of Prophet Muhammad's grandson, Hazrat Imam Hussain and his companions, who laid down their lives for upholding truth, righteousness and justice in Karbala.<br />'' <br />'' Tazia processions were taken out to mark the occasion which were buried later in the evening at designated places.<br />'' <br />'' Majlis or religious meetings were also organized where religious scholars highlighted various aspects of the Karbala incident.<br />'' <br />'' In Uttar Pradesh, millions of Muslims mourned in various cities on the day of Ashoora to pay homage to the sacrifices of Hazrat Imam Hussain and his companions in Karbala.<br />'' <br />'' Our Correspondent reports that Slogan of Ya Hussain reverberated on the streets of Lucknow, which has the highest number of Shia Muslims in the country.<br />'' <br />''<br />''The main procession started from Victoria Street and thousands thronged for ritual mourning which included Nauhakhwani, matam and performance of Seenazani. In Jaunpur, Bareily, Kushinagar, Gorakhpur, Firozabad, large number of processions were taken out and different style of colourful Tazias, a replica of Tomb of Imam Hussain were seen which included Eco-Friendly and whole glass Tazias.</span><br />

Muharram observed in various parts of country

Muharram is being observed thought the country on Friday. It is observed in memory of the martyrdom of Imam Hussain, the grandson of Prophet Mohammed, who gave away his life protecting dignity for human values. In Andhra Pradesh, tight security arrangements and traffic diversions were made to facilitate smooth passage of the mammoth procession known as ‘Bibi Ka Alam’ in Hyderabad city. The mourning started at the historic Bibi ka alam in Dabeerpura and hundreds of Shia mourners are taking part in the procession in which trained elephants carry the alam or the flag, symbolising the martyrs. Thousands of men, women and children joined the traditional Bibi ka alam procession. In Uttar Pradesh, Muharram processions are being taken out throughout the State. In Lucknow, the decorated Tazias and colorful replicas of Imam Hussein’s tomb at Kerbala are being carried out on streets for burial at different Karbalas in the city. In Lucknow Shia community has taken out a huge procession with Tazias from Nazim sahib Imamabara and burial of tazias will take place at Talkatora Karbala by the evening. The state police Headquarters spokesperson told AIR correspondent that strict security arrangements have been made at all sensitive places in the state. Additional security forces have been deployed in Varanasi, Ayodhya and Gorakhpur.
