Yaum-e-Ashura or tenth Day of Muharram is being observed throughout the country today to commemorate the supreme sacrifice of the Imam Husain, the grandson of Prophet Muhammad.

Tazia will be buried in symbolic Karbalas situated across the country on Tuesday afternoon. Majlis-e-shaam-e-ghariban will be held after the sunset and burial of tazia.

In UP Strict security arrangements have been made for peaceful observance of the Yaum-e-ashura in wake Babri demolition anniversary. Additional security forces have been deployed in Varanasi, Ayodhya and Gorakhpur.
