Mughal Garden opens for public from Tuesday

President Mrs Pratibha Devi Singh Patil today formally threw open the Mughal Gardens of Rashtrapati Bhavan . The Gardens will be open for the General Public from tomorrow between 10 AM to 5 PM on all days except on Mondays till 16th of March. This year the theme is Basanti and there is splash of yellow color to reflect the spring season. Vertical garden and Bonsai garden are two new editions. OSD for President's garden Mr Nigam Prakash said that Vertical Garden is new concept of developing floral wall and is especially suited for houses with space constraints. More than 200 varieties will be on display in the Bonsai garden. Apart from this more than 125 varieties of Roses and flowers like tulips, dahlias, pansies and lilies can also be seen. This time the month long annual viewing has been re christened as Rashtrapati Bhavan Udyanotsav. Also this time the visitors can take with them the variety of souvenirs ranging from key chains, t-shirts and pen stands.
