The Zimbabwean President Mugabe has accused western countries of wanting his land re-distribution policies to fail so that Zimbabwe would then become dependent on food imports. <br/>Speaking at the United Nations Food Summit in Rome Mr. Mugabe said policies pursuit by powerful nations were impoverishing his country. He also appealed for sanctions against Zimbabwe to be lifted.<br/>
