Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said MUDRA scheme will help to eradicate poverty in India and it will generate employment for poor people of society. Addressing a MUDRA loan disbursement mega credit camp function at Dumka in Jharkhand Mr. Modi said since launch of this scheme Rs 26,000 crore have been disbursed to 42 lakhs beneficiaries. He said among these people 20 lakhs are women. Mr. Modi said this scheme has ensured participation of mothers and sisters in the country and helped in women empowerment.<br/><br/>The Prime Minister said the MUDRA scheme will fulfill dreams of many small entrepreneurs and vendors for whom doors of bank were shut. It will keep away poors from vicious cycle of moneylenders and help lower strata of society to prosper. The Prime Minister said this scheme will help in economic growth of the country. Mr. Modi said under this scheme MUDRA debit cards are being given to small vendors and entrepreneurs. He said poors are honest and they try their best to retire the loan.<br/><br/>Mr. Modi criticized previous regime at the Centre for not doing much for poors and never wiped there tears. Mentioning success of give up LPG subsidy campaign the Prime Minister said 31 lakh people have relinquished their subsidies. He said due to this 18 lakhs poor families have got new LPG connections and many mothers got rid of smoke full and hazardous chulhas.<br/><br/>In a major augmentation endeavor for cultural tourism of Jharkahnd, the Prime Minister also inaugurated online, the start of restoration of ancient Maluti temple complex in Dumka. Mr Modi said that Government of India and the state government will jointly develop it as a major tourist spot. It will create many employment opportunities. The Prime Minister praised the state for its development initiatives for which it earned laurels from World Bank. He said that Jharkhand has made a big leap and come to 3rd rank from 29th position in the list of ease of doing business.<br/><br/>Mr. Modi disbursed Rs 212 crores loan to 1 lakh small entrepreneurs of the state to expand their business. He also inaugurated the state government scheme to provide free LPG gas connections to 1 lakh BPL families in the state. 5000 new gas connections were given to beneficiaries on this occasion. <br/><br/>Earlier, inaugurating a 180 kilo watt Rooftop Solar Power Plant at District Court Khunti in Jharkhand today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that climate change is a big concern for the world. He further said that despite being a coal rich state, it is sending good signals in support of clean energy by installing the solar power plant at the Khunti district court.<br/><br/>He also said that the fact that this solar power plant is being inaugurated on the birth anniversary of Father of Nation- Mahatama Gandhi, is a fitting tribute to Mahatma, who was always concerned for conservation of clean environment. Prime Minister also said that India is committed to have 175 Giga Watt of renewable energy by 2022.<br/><br/>The Governor of Jharkhand Draupadi Murmu, Chief Minister Raghubar Das, Union Minister of State for Finance Jayant Sinha, Union Minister of state for Petroleum and Natural gas Dharmendra Pradhan and many dignitaries were also present at the function.
