President Pranab Mukherjee has said that there is much to do in the field of excellence at the world level in higher educations of the country.<br/><br/>Speaking at the 7th Convocation of Vinoba Bhave University at Hazaribagh on Saturday, he said that India was world leader in the field of higher education and research for 1800 years.<br/><br/>Taxilla University of ancient India was seat of specialised learning for Indian, Greek and Persian Civilizations.<br/><br/>The President hope that recent listing of Indian Institute of Science Banglore and IIT Delhi in world top 200 research and development institutions would provide impetus for others.<br/> <br/>President Pranab Mukherjee conferred Honrary Doctor of Literature- D.Lit . to former Union Minster Yashwant Sinha, by the Vinoba Bhave University, for his significant contributions in the field of economy, international relation and public services.
