The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs,CCEA has enhanced the Minimum Support Price, MSP of wheat by 50 rupees per quintal to 1400 rupees. Minister of Information and Broadcasting Manish Tewari told reporters after the meeting that the CCEA has accepted the recommendations of Commission for Agricultural Costs and Prices. He said the MSP of red gram and mustard has also been hiked by hundred rupees per quintal each.
