Union Minister for Youth Welfare and Sports Dr Manohar Singh Gill today filed his nomination papers for Rajya Sabha from Punjab. <br/><br/>Five seats are due to fall vacant from the state on April nine. Former Union Minister Ashwani Kumar of Congress and former Lok Sabha member Avinash Rai Khanna of BJP also filed their nomination papers today.<br/><br/>Former Union Minister Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa and Mr Naresh Gujral, both of Shiromani Akali Dal had filed their papers yesterday .Today is the last day for filing of nominations.<br/><br/>Scrutiny of the nominations would take place tommorrow and the last date for withdrawal of candidatures is March 19.<br/>The date of polling is March 26.
