Fourteenth International Film Festival of Kerala will be inaugurated by renowned director Mrinal Sen at Thiruvanthapuram tomorrow. 15 films from 40 countries will be screened during the week long festival. Fourteen films are there in competition section. Actress Sharmila Tagore and French ambassador Jeroum Bonafond are the chief guests of the inaugural function. Seminars, lectures, special exhibition and open forum are the highlights of the festival. For his notable contribution to world cinema, Mrinal Sen will be hounoured with a special award of three lakh rupees. Oscar award winner Mr. Russool Pookkuty will also be honoured in the festival attracting international attention.
