<span style="color: #222222;">The Maharashtra State Women's Commission has taken cognizance of the matter of death of a 19-year-old gang rape victim from Jalna district and has asked Mumbai Police to carry out swift investigation and action in the matter.<br />''<br />'' The Commission has also sought the up-to-date investigation report of the case from the police. The rape victim passed away at a government hospital in Aurangabad on Wednesday evening, where she was undergoing treatment for over 45 days.<br />''<br />'' The victim's father told the police that she had gone to Mumbai around two months ago to stay with her brother. On July 7, the accused called her for a birthday celebration and later they allegedly sexually assaulted her. The girl was not feeling well and hence she was taken back to her hometown in Jalna. In Jalna, she showed symptoms of paralysis and was admitted to a local hospital.<br />''<br />'' After her condition worsened, she was rushed to the Government Medical College and Hospital in Aurangabad. The doctors after examining confirmed a case of gang rape and case was registered with Begumpura police and also Mumbai police as the accused hail from Mumbai.</span><br />''  <br />
