Maharashtra government has decided to provide computerised caste certificates Social Justice Minister Shivajirao Moghe today announced this in the Assembly during Question Hour.<br/><br/>While admitting the admitting that applications of caste validation had piled up to one lakh thirty-six thousand till May-end this year MR. Moghe said that Beneficiaries will get the computerised caste validation certificate within three months of applying .<br/><br/>He further informed that software for providing such certificates would be ready in a month. He also informed the Assembly that district-level caste validation committees will be set up with powers wresting with Additional Collector. <br/><br/>The Minister said for an elected representative it has been made mandatory to submit caste validation certificate within four months of election.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, Maharashtra industries minister Rajendra Darda today claimed in Council that 89 percent of local people have got priority in jobs in the state. <br/><br/>Darda also read out a report in the upper house submitted by a study group appointed to ensure local get priority in jobs. The house witnessed the noisy scene on the issue with the Opposition members staging a walk out.
