Maharashtra Governor K Sankaranarayanan has expressed deep grief over the demise of well-known nuclear scientist and former Chairman of the Atomic Energy Commission Dr Homi Nusserwanji Sethna. Padma Vibhushan, Dr. Homi Sethna passed away at his Mumbai residence, late on Sunday night at the ripe age of 86. His funeral will take place on Tuesday at Doongerwadi Tower of Silence. Dr. Sethna is survived by a son and daughter. In a message to the family members of the late Dr Sethna, the Governor has recognised his pioneering work in the successful conduct of India's first peaceful nuclear tests, in the year 1974. The governor also acknowledged that even after retirement, Dr. Sethna continued to contribute to the task of nation building.
