MQM hold demonstration outside White House

In the United states, supporters of Pakistan's Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) held a demonstration outside the White House today protesting against alleged enforced disappearances and human rights violations against its leaders in Karachi.<br/>'<br/>Addressing the demonstrators by phone, MQM's founder leader Altaf Hussain condemned Pakistan's law enforcement agencies in Karachi for targeting the Muhajir community. Hussian called upon the international community to oppose "barbarianism" of the Pakistan government and the army.<br/>'<br/>The MQM, Karachi's biggest political party has political dominance in the southern Sindh provinces urban areas notably in Karachi, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas and Sukkur where a large number of Urdu-speaking people who migrated from India during partition reside.<br/>
