Amid a huge surge in COVID-19 cases, the Maharashtra Public Service Commission – MPSC has postponed the exam for the state's Subordinate Service Non-Gazetted Group-B Combined Preliminary Examination that was slated to be held this Sunday.<br />'' <br />''The decision was taken after Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray chaired a meeting to discuss the issue. Besides MPSC officials, state home minister Dilip Walse Patil, revenue minister Balasaheb Thorat, leader of opposition in the state council Pravin Darekar, MNS Chief Raj Thackeray and chief secretary Sitaram Kunte were present among others. <br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">According to a statement issued by the Chief Minister's office, the decision was taken to ensure safety of students amid the raging pandemic and in consultation with all stakeholders.
