As many as six nominated members of the Rajya Sabha have appealed to their elected colleagues in the two Houses of Parliament and all political parties to let the Parliament return to functioning smoothly.
In a signed letter to the Chairman of the Rajya Sabha, Mohammed Hamid Ansari, Mr. H.K. Dua, Ms. Anu Aga, Mr. Ashok S. Ganguly, Dr. M S Swaminathan, Mr. K. Parasaran and Mr. Mrinal Miri said there is widespread agony and deep disappointment that the winter session has not even commenced functioning after the Monsoon Session of Parliament was disrupted for several days.
The nominated MPs of the Rajya Sabha said the smooth functioning of Parliament is most urgently needed to restore the faith in the long held traditions of our parliamentary process.
