Members of Parliament now can use their Local Area Development fund for the betterment of sports and development of sports infrastructure in their Sports Minister Ajay Maken said this in New Delhi on Wednesday.He added that the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation has allowed convergence of Member of Parliament Local Area Development fund with Panchyat Yuva sports scheme and the Urban Sports Infrastructure Scheme of Sports Ministry. He said the move will help to create sports infrastructure in remote areas of the country.
