Madhya Pradesh’s Lok Sewayon Ke Pradan Ki Guarantee Adhiniyam 2010 has been selected for the United Nations Public Services Award (UNPSA) this year. The state’s initiative has been awarded second place in the category ‘improving the delivery of public services. Giving this information in a press conference at Bhopal today, chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that 471 entries were received from 73 countries for this award. This award is given to creative achievements and contributions of public service institutions that lead to a more effective and responsive public administration in countries worldwide. Mr. Chouhan said that one crore 11 lakh applications have been received so far under Lok Sewayon Ke Pradan Ki Guarantee Adhiniyam 2010. Out of these one crore ten lakh applications have been disposed off. Mr. Chouhan said that the state government will open Lok Sewa Kendras at block headquarters level under public private partnership. These Kendras are expected to begin work from 25th September this year.
