MPCC delegation meets Maharashtra CM

A delegation of Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) today met Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan and urged that the killers of senior investigative journalist Jyotirmoy Dey should be brought to book as soon as possible. Later in the afternoon, the Journalists Association will hold a protest rally from the Press Club to the State Secretariat in Mumbai to condemn Dey's killing and ask the government to expedite probe in the case and nab the culprits at the earliest. The Chief Minister held an emergency meeting at his residence on Sunday and took stock of the investigations into the case. 56-year old Dey, who was working as an investigative editor with Mid Day, was shot dead by unidentified assailants on Saturday.
