After connecting the children towards creative activities, now the police in Umaria district are becoming the support of the elders. The Umaria police have launched a Sankalp Scheme to provide 24-hour help to the elderly.<br />'' <br />'' Under the Sankalp Scheme, Superintendent of Police has instructed all police officers to identify and help one or two elderly families who are living alone and are worried about their everyday needs during the lockdown.<br />'' <br />'' Talking to AIR, Superintendent of Police Sachin Sharma said that under the Sankalp Scheme, we are trying to connect police personnel along with every elderly member of the family.<br />'' <br />'' The police got the inspiration for the Sankalp Scheme from an elderly woman, who was worried for her medicines. The elders are also happy with this innovative effort of the police.<br />'' <br />'' The Sankalp Scheme is indeed a commendable effort and can become exemplary for many districts. Earlier, the Umaria Police also conducted activities such as painting and poetry writing, Which was appreciated at the national level. <br />''  <br />
