In Madhya Pradesh, polling is underway for 9 Lok Sabha seats in the Vindhya and Mahakaushal regions. These seat constituencies are Rewa, Satna, Shahdol, Sidhi, Balaghat, Mandla, Chindwara, Jabalpur and Hoshangabad.

Our correspondent reporting from Hoshangabad which is not far from the life line of Madhya Pradesh – the Narmada river, says great enthusiasm could be seen among voters. A good number of voters have exercised their franchise in the first hour.

Youth and women are specially showing interest towards polling. An important fact is that all the basic amenities have been arranged at the polling booths.

Another interesting fact is that the BJP candidate had fought the last election on the Congress ticket from Hoshangabad parliamentary segment.
