In Madhya Pradesh, more than 59 per cent polling was reported in the nine parliamentary segments in Vindhya and Mahakaushal regions. Rewa, Stana, Shahdol, Sidhi, Balaghat, Mandla, Chindwara, Jabalpur and Hoshangabad parliamentary segment went to poll under first phase of Lok Sabha elections today.

Our Bhopal correspondent reports that the poll per cent is likely to increase as the voters who reached polling booths till 6 pm were allowed to exercise their franchise.
