MP: Over 46% voting till 4:40 pm in 9 parliamentary segments of Vindhya & Mahakaushal

In Madhya Pradesh, more than 46 per cent voters have cast their votes till 4.40 pm in the nine parliamentary segments of Vindhya and Mahakaushal. Talking to media in Bhopal, chief electoral officer Jaideep Govind said that more than 50 per cent voters had exercised their franchise in Chindwara, Mandla, Hoshangabad and Balaghat parliamentary segments.

Govind said that the final poll figure will be arrived till late evening as the people arriving at the booths till 6pm will be given a chance to cast their vote. He said that that the polling remained by and peaceful. He said that electronic voting machines were replaced in 18 places during the mock poll or voting due to malfunction. Govind said that there reports of poll boycott due to development issues or non-payment of MNREGA were received from some places.
