In Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched the Madhya Pradesh “Panch Parmeshwar” scheme in Bhopal on Tuesday afternoon. The scheme aims at further empowering of village panchayats. Under the scheme, funds for different schemes will be provided to state’s more than 23 thousand panchayats in lump sum. So far, funds under various schemes were being made available to village panchayats in piecemeal.Due to this, development works were also being undertaken in bits and pieces. Now, the village panchayats will get consolidated funds on the basis of population during the financial year. The easy availability of financial resources will facilitate village panchayats to work smoothly.
