Madhya Pradesh Government will provide twenty two crore rupees grant for distribution of subsidised Iodised salt in tribal dominated blocks of the state. AIR correspondent reports that over 22 lakhs families will be benefited by this plan.This subsidised salt will be provided on the basis of new ration cards in all eighty nine blocks of twenty districts of the state. The card holders of Above poverty line, Below poverty line and Antyoday category are being provided Iodised salt on concessional rate of rupees one per kilogram on each ration card at present. This scheme is already providing benefit to twenty five lack seventy five thousand families every month now.
