MP govt to appeal against verdict of Bhopal Gas Tragedy

The Madhya Pradesh government has decided to file an appeal against the verdict of CJM court of Bhopal in the Bhopal Gas Tragedy criminal case. <br/><br/>Talking to media in Bhopal on Tuesday morning, the state Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the aggrieved party in this case is people of Bhopal and state government represents them. <br/><br/>Mr. Chouhan said that he has talked to several legal experts and they have said that under different sections of IPC accused could get from two years imprisonment to life term. <br/><br/>He said that before filing an appeal state government has decided to constitute a five member expert committee to look into different aspects of it.<br/><br/>The members of committee are state principal secretary (law) A K Mishra, Vivek Tankha, state advocate general R D Jain, Anand Mohan and Shanti Lodha. <br/><br/>This committee will give its preliminary reports with in ten days while the final report will be submitted with in 30 days.<br/>
