In Madhya Pradesh, the state government has suspended a district vaccination Officer and two help employees after the death of 4 infants in Damoh district. Our Bhopal Correspondent reports, 4 infants died and 8 fell ill after being administered an anti-measles vaccine in Damoh Town on Friday. The Chief Medical and Health Officer of the district Dr. R K Shrivastav has said that prima facie it seems that the protocol in the cold chain for preserving vaccines was broken. The nurse who had supplied the vaccine has been booked on charges of negligence and destroying evidence.
